Storm by Montecristi is the evolution of a legacy in custom hat craftsmanship.  Born from the rich heritage of Montecristi Custom Hat Works, STORM brings you the same superior quality and discerning style with a modern approach.

The brand was a lifetime in the making.  Our founder Chenoa Storm, grew up in the hat business.  Her father's company, Montecristi Custom Hat Works, has been mastering the craft and gaining world renown for over 50 years in Santa Fe.  From having her own mini-chair next to the seamstress station as a toddler, to posting up in the store after school, to being featured in or producing ads for the brand, she relished her front row seat to her father, Milton's, unwavering commitment to exceptional craftsmanship.  Under the tutelage of her legendary father, Chenoa looks to bring the tenets of Montecristi to a new frontier with STORM.

The production journey starts with sourcing the finest materials from around the world, leveraging Montecristi Custom Hat Work's decades long relationships with the most respected craftspeople in the trade.  From weavers in the mountaintops of the Andes in Ecuador to 250 year old fur felt producers in Eastern Europe we ensure that the best of the best goes into our hats.  From there, design begins In our atelier in Los Angeles, CA and our production is done in our studio in Santa Fe, NM. 

A STORM hat is a fashion piece which tells a story of tradition and innovation, and showcases an impeccable attention to detail.  Drawing on the refinement of the past while infusing modern sensibilities, each hat represents a transcontinental and intergenerational odyssey in excellence and heritage.
