Our Commitment to Quality & Fit
Every Storm by Montecristi hat is finished to order. Because of this we do not offer traditional returns for a refund. To ensure you find your perfect fit before we begin work, we encourage all customers to order our Complimentary Sizing Kit prior to purchasing. Taking this step ensures your signature piece arrives ready for a lifetime of wear.
Size Exchanges
We offer a one-time size exchange for the same style, subject to current stock availability.
- The Refitting & Logistics Fee: All exchanges are subject to a flat $110 fee. This fee covers fully insured round-trip shipping and the specialized labor required to remove and replace the internal leather sweatband.
- Monogrammed Items: Since the monogram is featured on the replaceable sweatband, monogrammed hats are eligible for our standard size exchange process under the same $110 refitting fee.
- Store Credit: If your desired exchange size is out of stock, we will issue a Store Credit (minus the initial $35 shipping cost). We do not offer cash refunds.
Condition & Packaging
To be eligible for an exchange or credit:
- The hat must be in pristine, unworn condition with no signs of wear, makeup, or scent.
- The hat must be returned in its original, undamaged Storm by Montecristi storage box and outer shipping carton. Returns received with a damaged storage box will incur an additional $50 replacement fee.
Exchange Timeline & Authorization
To ensure the integrity of our pieces, all exchanges must be initiated within 14 days of delivery.
- Authorization Required: All exchanges must be pre-approved via email. Please contact info@stormbymontecristi.com with your order number and requested exchange size to begin the process.
- Return Shipping: Once approved, we will provide a pre-paid, fully insured shipping label. Please do not ship items back without an official Return Authorization, as they will not be accepted.
- Processing Time: Once your return is received and inspected, please allow 7-10 business days for our artisans to finish and ship your replacement piece.
